What can we leave behind for the next generation? This is the question posed by the project “Prayers”. The answer is uncertain, but we are on a path of hope for a future based on past experience.

The concept for Prayers was developed four years ago. Each relevant artistic discipline conducted research from different perspectives. The central approach was to examine the history of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945.

The focus is not only on suffering, but on exploring the process through which people from different backgrounds find common hope. It is also a recognition that everyone experiences different pain in their respective situation.

In the Prayers project, all elements on stage merge into a single experience.
