REDHOT – Ultra Deluxe is a Dance-Game Performance at the intersection of choreography, game design, and performance. How do we let ourselves be seduced? When do we follow rules without questioning them? And at what point do we actually believe we are making our own decisions? Based on mechanisms of game design, the piece explores how decisions are made, how we are guided, and why guidance sometimes feels surprisingly good. Playful logics such as levels, player guidance, or respawn become choreographic material, gradually blurring the lines between observing and participating. A performance about play, seduction, and the freedom to act differently.
