Puppetry & live classical music
It happened long ago, at the edge of a legendary forest.
A family has three sons. One day, the parents say: “The time has come. Go out into the world and marry. Fell a tree and follow the direction its crown points.” Before long, the two older brothers find their soulmates. But the youngest son’s tree leads him deep into the forest. There he meets Maus — small, not especially pretty, but very special and lovable. With a nervous heart, he decides to bring Maus home to meet his family. But on the way home, something wonderful happens.
A musical figure theatre piece about a magical journey, mysterious creatures, and a love for which appearances don’t matter. Based on the Finnish fairy tale “The Bride from the Forest”
