Johannes Blattner is a dancer, choreographer and dance educator. After training at the “freiburger akademie für tanz” and further studies in New York, he worked as a stage dancer for numerous theatres and was a soloist with Ballett Theater Pforzheim from 2015 to 2019, where he received the Ensemble Award in 2019. He currently works as a freelance artist in national and international contexts in the fields of contemporary dance, improvisation and inclusive performance.

In his choreographic works, he explores how bodies establish relationships and make emotions visible. His pieces revolve around vulnerability, masculinity, intimacy, and social awkwardness, often casting a humorous eye on what connects people.
