Dear members of the independent dance and theater scene in Stuttgart,

We are very pleased that, through our funding for performances and revivals of productions not receiving municipal project funding from the Dance and Theatre Department, we have already been able to support over ten productions this year and assist you as artists and practitioners within Stuttgart’s diverse independent scene.

Remaining funds are still available in our budget for this funding program.

ATTENTION: The latest performance date is December 13, 2026. Performance dates later in 2026 cannot be funded. Funding approval is granted exclusively within the scope of available budgetary resources. There is no legal entitlement to the approval or disbursement of funding at any time.

(Note: please observe the eligible maximum number of 8 performances per year per group/applicant including project funding from the Dance and Theater Department.)

As our available funds are limited, the following criteria for applying for our performance and revival funding from our institutional support, which we established in consultation with scene representatives from the cultural associations, remain valid:

• Processing will occur by application receipt date & chronologically – as long as funds are available.
• In principle, 1 application can be submitted per applicant/group for 2026
• Applications are eligible if 2 out of a maximum of 3 of the requested performers are professional artists from Stuttgart, or more than 50%
• Performance location Stuttgart

Please note that the performance and revival funding from FTTS’s institutional funding is not intended to be full financing.

Both proof of additional third-party funding at municipal, state, or federal level or supra-regional visibility of the performances through collaborations with other theaters and guest performance requests are desirable.
