With Mathilde, we look at the everyday life of a woman living alone and now aged. She spends her day with cherished rituals
and habits. Yet her time always seems to run out, stretch endlessly, or condense for a moment of unexpected happiness.
What was once ordinary becomes strenuous and adventurous. Reality and imagination merge: A melody rises within her and
carries her away: into dance, into the past, into the life she once had.
