In the enchanting and unique atmosphere of the Lapidarium in the south of Stuttgart, you will encounter Liselotte von der Pfalz. In France, she was called “La Palatine.” After her marriage to the brother of King Louis XIV, she lived in Versailles. She wrote many letters daily, using them to write the frustration out of her soul. Her aunt in Germany was often the recipient. What was eaten, how did people celebrate, love, and die? Liselotte spoke candidly and left behind invaluable cultural-historical records of the Sun King’s court for posterity.
