Following a theoretical investigation of romantic love, the participatory exchange of love letters in Stuttgart, and the writing workshop with Dahab Paulos, the Artists’ Lab will take place in October.

What do we know about love before we feel it? When did we first love, and how did it feel? Are we sure we have loved? Do you remember where your first love originated? Was it perhaps in a backyard or on a park bench? And have we ourselves been loved? Where our first experiences of love blossomed, we discover melodies, stories, and places where love has grown. Yet, behind the sweet facade of romantic love, a bitter aftertaste sometimes emerges. We ask ourselves whether the ideal of love stems from our own desire – or rather from societal compulsion.
