Info

With Nora: Breaking the Dollhouse, silent ladies_ transport Henrik Ibsen’s Nora into the present and reimagine the theatrical classic with queer-feminist sharpness.

What does marriage mean today?

What does “they lived happily ever after” look like in reality?

For women* and queer people, marriage is still not a neutral contract, but a system often tailored to men*: from taxes to inheritance to “Who cleans, plans, cooks what and who actually takes care of whom here?”

Marriage remains a contract that does not treat everyone equally.

With three performers in an abstract world, silent ladies_ humorously turn the doll’s house upside down and ask:

What could come instead of marriage?
