HOW MUCH PROTECTION DOES FREEDOM REQUIRE?

In the site-specific performance VULNERABILITY, Markus Tomczyk turns EAGLE Stuttgart into a dramaturgical co-player. Movement, language, and sound combine to create a sensual evening about protection, desire, shame, visibility, and self-imposed boundaries. The real space of encounter, with its thresholds, codes, and rules, becomes material itself.
What does a boundary protect? When does visibility become availability? And why can clear rules, in particular, enable freedom?

Not everything that becomes visible is available.
