Joint Rally of the Stuttgart Alliance for Culture, Education, and Social Affairs:
“We are the Stuttgart Sign!” – 99 Theses for the City of the Day After Tomorrow

Extensive cuts in the areas of culture, education, and social affairs have been decided in the 26/27 biennial budget of the state capital Stuttgart, which will have far-reaching consequences. An end to the austerity measures does not seem to be in sight.

Because culture, education, and social affairs are the heartbeat of Stuttgart, we are calling for a rally against further municipal cuts on June 6, 2026, from 4 PM at the Stuttgart Marketplace. There, we want to create a giant Stuttgart Sign – made of the people who make this city worth living in. This is intended to carry the message into the city:

We are the heartbeat of Stuttgart! We keep this city alive and make it attractive, creating cohesion, cultural participation, educational opportunities, and the innovations of the day after tomorrow. Further cuts substantially endanger the foundation of our urban society!
